THE GALLERY

Furstenberg Gallery,
European reference,
specialist and dealer in pre-Columbian art
Managed by Jean Christophe Argillet, expert with the CNE (Compagnie Nationale des Experts) and member of the SNA (Syndicat National des Antiquaires).
In our Parisian space in Saint Germain des Près, we offer you some sixty archaeological objects from the Americas, focusing on the various pre-Columbian cultures:
The peoples and cultures of Mexico: Olmec, Guerrero, Mezcala, Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit, Veracruz, Teotihuacán, Chupicuaro, Zapotec, Mixtec and Aztec.
The Maya zone: Yucatán, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador.
The Andean civilizations of Ecuador and Peru: Valdivia, Paracas, Chavin, Nazca, Huari, Mochica, Jama Coaque, Chimu, Chancay and Inca.
Works from Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina in terracotta, stone, gold, wood and textiles.
All our antiques for sale come from major international private collections, collected before the 1970s bans in the countries of origin (1997 for France). They are systematically checked for authenticity and integrity, and each work sold is accompanied by its certificate of authenticity and provenance, its scientific analysis test and the Passeport des Musées de France given to the customer. This sets us apart from the auction market, which, because of the number and frequency of objects put up for sale, is unable to carry out the various checks that are so important for archaeological works and absolutely essential for any subsequent resale.
As not all the pre-Columbian objects we have are shown on this site, please feel free to visit us at the Gallery for direct contact with the works, or to contact us if you are looking for a specific type of object for your collection that you don’t see on the site, but which we may have in stock. We ship the works anywhere in France and around the world with their complete files.
