CIVILIZATIONS
Galerie Furstenberg, European reference, specialist and merchant of pre-Columbian art. Directed by Jean Christophe Argillet, expert at the CNE (National Company of Experts) and member of the SNA (National Antiquarian Union).
We permanently offer in our Parisian space of Saint Germain des Pres, about sixty archaeological objects from the Americas focused on the different pre-Columbian cultures namely:
The peoples and cultures of Mexico: Olmec, Guerrero, Mezcala, Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit, Veracruz, Teotihuacán, Chupicuaro, Zapotec, Mixtec and Aztec.
The Mayan area: Yucatán, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador.
The Andean civilizations of Ecuador and Peru: Valdivia, Paracas, Chavin, Nazca, Huari, Mochica, Jama Coaque, Chimu, Chancay and Inca.
Also works from Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina made in terracotta, stone, gold, wood or textile.
All our antiques on sale come from large private international collections and collected before the bans of the countries of origin in the 1970s (1997 for France). They are systematically checked, both for their authenticity and integrity and each sold work is accompanied by its certificate of authenticity and provenance, its scientific analysis test and Passport of the Museums of France given to the customer. We differentiate ourselves in this from the auction market, which by the number of objects put up for sale and their frequency, can not exercise these different controls, yet major on archaeological works and absolutely essential for any subsequent resale.
All the pre-Columbian objects we have not presented on this site, do not hesitate to visit us at the Gallery for direct contact with the works, but also to contact us for any search of a specific type of object for your collection that you do not see on the site, but we can have in stock. We ship the works everywhere in France and in the world with their complete files.
