CIVILIZATIONS
Galerie Furstenberg, European reference, specialist and dealer in pre-Columbian art. Directed by Jean Christophe Argillet, expert at the CNE (National Company of Experts) and member of the SNA (National Antiquarian Union).
We permanently offer in our Parisian space of Saint Germain des Pres, a selection of about sixty archaeological artifacts from the Americas, focused on the different pre-Columbian cultures namely:
The peoples and cultures of Mexico: Olmec, Guerrero, Mezcala, Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit, Veracruz, Teotihuacán, Chupicuaro, Zapotec, Mixtec and Aztec.
The Mayan area: Yucatán, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador.
The Andean civilizations of Ecuador and Peru: Valdivia, Paracas, Chavin, Nazca, Huari, Mochica, Jama Coaque, Chimu, Chancay and Inca.
Also works from Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina made in terracotta, stone, gold, wood or textile.
All our antiquities for sale comes from important private collections and were collected before the Unesco convention in the 1970s (1997 for France). Each artwork is systematically checked, both for its authenticity and integrity and sold with its certificate of authenticity and provenance, its scientific analysis test and its French Passport allowing its free circulation in Europe and official export all over the world. We differentiate ourselves trading this way from a lot of international auction houses which, by the number of objects put up for sale and their frequency, cannot realize these different controls, yet major on archaeological artifacts and absolutely essential for any subsequent resale in the future.
Because buying a precious artifact cannot only be made on photos and virtually, we encourage you to visit our Parisian gallery to face our pending selection. Do not hesitate also to contact us for any type of Precolumbian work you do not see on the website, but that we could pocess in our large inventory. We ship the works everywhere in France and in the world, with their complete files.
