Costa Rican pre-Columbian art :

A region of exchange and connection between Central America and South America, Costa Rica offers some beautiful artistic achievements and archaeological artefacts in terracotta, but also in very finely sculpted volcanic rock and jadeite. The works primarily come from the north-western border with Nicaragua (Guanacaste culture) and the south-eastern border with Panama (Atlantic coast cultures).
